September Employee Highlight – 2012

Michael Hunt joined the Online Stores Sales department in July of 2012. He was hired in directly as the Sales Manager and has hit the ground running, expanding the department and looking down new avenues to help push the company to the next level from his first day on the job. He stated he felt very welcomed when he arrived here to work,

“Everyone was very welcoming and receptive when I came in.”

Michael received his BA in Office Administration and Marketing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1984. His first job following finishing his education was with Shop ‘N Save, managing several different deli counters, which he did for 3 years. He then transitioned to Allegheny Valley Food Service where he started as an account manager and worked his way up to being the VP of Sales. After 22 years, he left that company and spent 3 years at Midom Group for which he was a Regional Manager for wholesale jewelry. Once he left there he was with TMD Holdings for a period of 6 months  where he was the Regional Sales Manager. He left there to join Online Stores and hasn’t looked back since.

When Michael isn’t chasing down the next big wholesale account, he greatly enjoys traveling. He loves to take long weekend trips to catch up on some rest and relaxation. Michael’s favorite travel destination is Italy, where he’s been 3 times. His favorite part of the country is Tuscany. He also loves to tailgate for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sundays and doesn’t miss a single home game! In the summer Michael likes to spend time out on the water, and enjoys to go boating often. He has 2 pugs named Rocco and Puggles, which he also enjoys spending time with. Thank you Michael and Welcome aboard!
